Mortar Board Alumni
Mortar Board was established in 1918 as a national honor society for senior women, and KU founded its chapter the same year to recognize achievements in scholarship, leadership and service on Mount Oread. In 1975, Mortar Board membership was opened to male students. Elected members represent the top scholars and leaders on campus.
Mortar Board Alumni Reunion reconnects all Mortar Board alumni while giving special recognition to the University of Kansas Torch Chapter’s fifty-year members during KU’s fifty-year reunion weekend.
