Being a Jayhawk is a KU tradition, and for many of us, it’s also a family tradition. The KU Alumni Association wants to help your family build its Jayhawk legacy. The information on this page is designed to assist alumni families as they navigate the college search process.

Do you know of a future Jayhawk who is interested in learning more about continuing their legacy at KU? We invite you to share the names of prospective students who are in sixth grade or above. By completing the Legacy Recruitment form, your student will become part of the Office of Admissions mailing list and will receive more information about KU.

One-stop resource for KU Alumni Association members

We help prospective legacy students and their families navigate the KU Admissions process by scheduling campus visits, connecting them with resources on campus, and serving as a general resource for all things KU.

KU alumni are our greatest asset in the recruitment of future Jayhawks. Each year, alumni volunteers host winter receptions for prospective students who have been admitted to KU and their parents. These winter receptions give prospective students the opportunity to meet current KU students from their hometowns.

Student Alumni

The Student Alumni Network (SAN) is a FREE level of membership in the KU Alumni Association especially for current students that provides many benefits and opportunities. It is open to all undergraduate students at no cost. Members receive gifts and invitations to events throughout the year, including free Finals Dinners, opportunities to network with alumni and more.

Did you know that parents can join the KU Alumni Association? You don’t need a KU degree to be an Association member. KU Alumni Association memberships are open to all KU friends and families, including parents.
