welcome to the family

The ultimate college
experience awaits!

rock chalk jayhawk

Being a Jayhawk is a family tradition for many of us. The KU Alumni Association can help keep that tradition going strong for generations. As the children and grandchildren of KU alumni begin thinking about college options, the information on this page may help your future Jayhawk find his or her way to the Hill.

Help us identify future Jayhawks by sharing the names of prospective KU students who are in the sixth grade or older. After you complete the Legacy Recruitment Program form, your future ‘Hawk will become part of the Office of Admissions mailing list and will receive information about KU.

Freshman Scholarships

Fall 2022 freshmen: Information regarding future scholarship amounts and criteria is coming soon.

KU alumni are our greatest asset in the recruitment of future Jayhawks. Each year, alumni volunteers host winter receptions for prospective students who have been admitted to KU and their parents. These winter receptions give prospective students the opportunity to meet current KU students from their hometowns.
