Being a Jayhawk is a family tradition
The KU Alumni Association can help keep that tradition going strong for generations. As the children and grandchildren of KU alumni begin thinking about college options, the information below may help your future Jayhawk find his or her way to the Hill.
Helpful Resources
Future Jayhawks
Help us identify future Jayhawks by sharing the names of prospective KU students who are in the sixth grade or older. After you complete the Future Jayhawks form, your future ‘Hawk will become part of the Office of Admissions mailing list and will receive information about KU.

KU Scholarships
We’re proud to offer a wide range of renewable institutional scholarships to support students who meet specific academic standards or show sufficient financial need. Kansans can qualify for more than $40,000 across four years, while out-of-state students can earn an amount that brings their tuition to KU’s in-state amount.

Homecoming Origin
On November 23, 1912, KU played its first Homecoming football game against well-established rivals the Missouri Tigers. At a bonfire in front of Fraser Hall the Friday before the game, the ceremonial burning of a wooden tiger riled KU students. The next day, in front of 9,000 cheering fans, the Jayhawks defeated Missouri 12-3. For years, it was custom to play Missouri for every other Homecoming game.
