IMG_news_kwahlgrenKari Wahlgren, a.k.a. “Meg” in the Oscar-winning animated short, Paperman, is ready for her closeup.

The veteran voice and theater actor, Wahlgren, c’99, voiced the female lead role in Disney’s latest darling of the Academy Awards. Paperman picked up the award for Best Animated Short Film on Sunday night. Another Jayhawk twist: the category was introduced by none other than Jayhawk alumnus Paul Rudd, ’92.

Alumni may recall being introduced to Wahlgren in our recent Valentine’s Day email that featured the charming video as well as an exclusive interview with Wahlgren about her experience (read it here).

Congratulations to Kari Wahlgren on her Oscar-winning project! KU alumni and Jayhawks everywhere are proud of you!
