Truity Credit Union, which first partnered with the KU Alumni Association in 2017, has entered into a multi-year commitment with the Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Network to serve as the exclusive financial services partner of Home Football Fridays, TGIT receptions for faculty and staff, and the KU Vets Day 5K, Sunday, Nov. 10, at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
The next Home Football Friday lunch for students will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 30 on the front lawn of the Adams Alumni Center, 1266 Oread Ave. on the Lawrence campus. The events, hosted by the Student Alumni Network, occur on Fridays in conjunction with home games throughout the season and feature free food, beverages and cookies from eight area restaurants in the Student Alumni Network’s Restaurant Partner Program. Truity Credit Union’s generous support will fund prizes and giveaways during these events, as well as the annual Student Alumni Network T-shirt, which is provided to students at no charge.
The Alumni Association will welcome KU faculty and staff to the Alumni Center for TGIT receptions from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 19, Oct. 10 and Nov. 21 during the fall semester and Feb. 20, March 19 and April 9 during the spring 2020 semester. The receptions will include drink specials, snacks and giveaways.
“Truity Credit Union has been a vital, long-term partner of the KU Alumni Association, and we are incredibly grateful for their unwavering support,” said Heath Peterson, d’04, g’09, Alumni Association president. “Their generosity helps sustain critical programs for alumni, students and the entire Jayhawk community.”
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the KU Alumni Association in the coming years,” said Tim Mock, business development officer for Truity. “By furthering our commitment to the Alumni Association and the greater KU community, we will build on our promise to connect with the people we serve.”
