Football’s Beaty era to launch on FOX Sports Net

David BeatyKU football will open its 2015 season, the first here for new coach David Beaty, with an 11 a.m. kickoff Sept. 5 in Memorial Stadium against South Dakota State, a Football Championship Subdivision (formerly known as Div. I-AA) team that last year went 9-5 overall and 1-1 in the FCS Playoffs. The game will be televised by FOX Sports Net.

The Jayhawks on Sept. 12 host Memphis (Family Weekend and Band Day) in a 6 p.m. start. That game will be televised in Kansas and the Kansas City metro area on the Jayhawk Network, and will be available nationally on ESPN3.

Following a bye week Sept. 19, the Jayhawks will play at Rutgers Sept. 26 and at Iowa State Oct. 3 before returning to Memorial Stadium for an Oct. 10 game against Baylor.
