Jayhawks flock to watch parties

Posted on Mar 12, 2013 in Alumni News, News, and Sports

KU alumni and fans watch the ‘Hawks at nearly 100 locations across the country designated as official watch sites. Whether three people show up or the bar or restaurant is filled with crimson and blue, Jayhawks are sure to bond over their love of the game.

You never know who might show up at a KU watch party. This year, the San Diego Chapter welcomed Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback to their watch party for the KU vs. TCU game (his son attends college in San Diego), and the Columbus group was joined by Neeli Bendapudi, dean of the KU School of Business, and her husband. Last year, the Los Angeles Chapter enjoyed the final Border Showdown in the company of celebrities Jason Sudeikis and Jon Hamm.

This season, we’ve encouraged alumni chapters and groups to send us photos from their watch parties. Check out the slide show below to see some of the fun!

If you’re looking for a place to flock with other ‘Hawks, check out our map of national watch sites:

Submit your watch party photos to us by emailing share@kualumni.org and we’ll add them to our slideshow!
