The Board of Directors consists of 15 to 30 members, the number of which may vary from time to time by resolution of the Board. The Board meets three times annually in the fall, winter and spring. Between July 1 of each year and March 1 of the following year, the Association solicits nominations for the Board from the KU community, including dues-paying members, University administrators, faculty and staff, and affiliated organizations.
All alumni and friends who financially support the Alumni Association and are not employed by the University of Kansas are eligible for nomination. A Nominating Committee of Board members, appointed by the national chair, will meet between March 15 and April 30 to consider all nominees. The committee will forward to the entire Board a slate of a least four nominees for consideration at the spring meeting. Following election by the Board, new directors begin their five-year terms of office on July 1 of each year.

We build lifelong relationships that strengthen the University of Kansas and the legacy of excellence embodied by its students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends.
