As part of KU’s 109th Homecoming Week Oct. 11-16, Kyou Networking Week invited alumni and students to connect locally and globally for fun and informative conversations based on their career industry. The meetings gave Jayhawks the opportunity to meet and network with other alumni who work in their field.
Kyou Networking Week featured 11 events, including nine virtual industry events, with over 300 registrants connecting Jayhawks at all stages of their careers. This year’s week was the biggest yet, with a 40% increase in registrants over the 2020 edition.
“Attendees enjoyed talking about their careers and KU experiences and were excited about meeting Jayhawks who were interested in their work,” said Jayhawk Career Network Director Howard Graham, g’08, PhD’19. “There was a lot of sharing of emails, resources, and LinkedIn profiles so that conversations and connections would continue after the meetings.”
The virtual industry events brought featured Jayhawks in the webinar’s highlighted industry to connect with like-minded alumni. Highlighted industries included banking and finance, higher education, technology, healthcare and more.
