Adams Alumni Center
Our thoughts go out to all who have been affected by COVID-19. Unfortunately, these uncertain times require us to forgo opportunities to gather as a Jayhawk family in order to protect the health and safety of all.
In coordination with the University of Kansas, and following the guidance of public health officials, the KU Alumni Association will cancel all in-person events, including all Adams Alumni Center activities. These cancellations will remain in effect until further notice.
The Adams Alumnic Center’s professional, dedicated team members believe world-class hospitality enriches the Jayhawk experience. We deliver outstanding service and modern amenities in an unrivaled, distinctively classic setting.
With an exceptional view of campus, including the Campanile, Adams Lounge is a great multi-use room that can be used as spillover for large events, house displays or set for buffets.
All American Room
Paying tribute to KU’s All-American student athletes, the walls are adorned with John Martin’s hand-painted murals. This room can also be rented in conjunction with neighboring McGee and Bruckmiller.
As one of the largest rooms in the center, the Bruckmiller has removable wall panels in the McGee and All-American rooms for an even larger space.
Carruth Conference Room
With seating for up to ten, Carruth is the perfect room for a small gathering or professional meeting. Request any of our amenities to take your function to the next level.
Adjacent to the All-American and Bruckmiller rooms, the McGee Room is a simple and elegant setting for small meetings, receptions and dinners. Expand your event options by renting one or both neighboring rooms.
Housing historical collections, sit and read oral histories from some of KU’s brightest minds, along with other rich texts. This room serves as a great pre-function area for the adjoining Paul Adam Lounge.
Outfitted with a piano and an extensive music collection, the Music Room is the ideal location for small gatherings, meetings and interviews in a comfortable and relaxed setting.
Paul Adam Lounge
Located on the first floor, the Paul Adam Lounge is an intimate space perfect for small meetings, dinners and receptions. Accented with dark wood and a gas fireplace, this room is both cozy and elegant.
Phillips Board Room
Boasting rich, dark-paneled wood walls, the Phillips Board Room will enhance your gathering with the built-in drop screen or projector. The board room adjoins with the Paul Adam Lounge for larger functions.
Seymour Pub & Brook Dining Room
Rich wood panels, a fireplace and cozy chairs create a lodge-like atmosphere. Incorporated into the decor are wooden spindles and doors were salvaged from the Old Fraser Hall.
Being one of the largest in the center makes this room a versatile choice for all your event needs including dinners, receptions and meetings. A walkout patio adds a special touch of KU history with Old Fraser Hall “widow walk railings.”
Lobby & Common Areas
An elegant entryway and spacious hallways add to the ambience of your event. Hallways feature historical photographs from KU through the years. Outside the Adams Alumni Center, guests can enjoy the Borden Plaza which is also a popular area for guests to gather.
We offer a list of professional caterers who provide options from light snack to formal dinners. A licensed, insured and approved caterer must provide all food and beverage consumed in the Adams Alumni Center.
A 10% fee of food sales is assessed to the caterer (not to the customer) for unlimited use of our full-service kitchen, dishwasher and additional maintenance.
This fee enables us to provide the variety of catering options to our clients. Please consult with your caterer for the total service fee that will be charged to you.
