Clodfelter Award

Clodfelter Regional Volunteer of the Year Award

Presented annually during Homecoming, the Clodfelter Regional Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes a KU alumni network leader who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, service, and impact within a regional alumni network in Kansas or Missouri during the current calendar year.

The award is named in honor of Mildred Clodfelter, b’41, affectionately known as “Millie,” who devoted 47 years of service to the University of Kansas — including 42 years with the KU Alumni Association. Established in 1987, this award continues her legacy by recognizing volunteers who sustain meaningful connections at the local level.

Recipients are often local alumni network leaders, former Kansas Honors Program coordinators, or volunteers dedicated to student recruitment and outreach — all of whom reflect Millie’s spirit of service and lifelong commitment to KU.

Nominees may also be considered for the Wintermote National Volunteer of the Year Award if they meet the respective criteria.
