Some Jayhawks distinguish themselves not only by what they achieve, but by how far their impact reaches.

We hope you join us for the inaugural Far Above Awards, a new signature celebration that enhances the traditional Fred Ellsworth Dinner format with an evening reception and awards celebration culminating in the presentation of the Fred Ellsworth Medallion.

2026 Fred Ellsworth Medallion Recipients

Marvin Motley c’77, l’80, g’81

Winifred Pinet c’80, g’82

The evening will begin with a lively dinner reception featuring drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and plenty of opportunity for you to connect with fellow Jayhawks and leaders from across KU’s campuses. The reception will be followed by a program celebrating students and alumni who live out our mission to connect, serve and inspire Jayhawks, concluding with the traditional presentation of KU Alumni’s highest honor, the Fred Ellsworth Medallion awards.

The RSVP deadline is Thursday, October 8. Please join us as we reconnect and celebrate with those who continue to elevate the KU legacy. Please contact Jordann Snow at jsnow@kualumni.org with any questions.
