The University of Kansas Alumni Association is excited to welcome all Jayhawks to “Gameday at the Jayhawk Welcome Center” this fall.

Enjoy a fun, comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere before every KU football home game at the newest building on campus, the Jayhawk Welcome Center. The events are free and open to all Jayhawks: You do not need to be a member of the KU Alumni Association to attend. Cash bars and light snacks will be available.

Each Gameday at the Jayhawk Welcome Center tailgate begins two and a half hours before kickoff and ends 30 minutes before kickoff.

Admission is free, but we ask that you RSVP so we know to expect you! Walk-ins are welcome, and there is no need to show proof of ticket at the door.

We understand that game days present parking challenges. We have a few options to help make attending our gameday a little more convenient.

Central Bank of the Midwest Parking Lot:

A huge thank you to our sponsor Central Bank of the Midwest. The parking lot at their branch at 9th and Kentucky will be exclusive for KU Alumni Association members on gameday. There will be a sign that reads “Reserved for KU Alumni.”

Oread Hotel:

The Oread Hotel’s garage is available on gameday for a charge of $40 per vehicle.

Gameday Shuttle:

Kansas Athletics has graciously offered to add a shuttle stop near the Jayhawk Welcome Center. The gameday shuttle will periodically pick up outside the Allen Fieldhouse parking garage and drop off outside the Memorial Union. The shuttle’s route will continue to their final drop off in front of the Spencer Museum of Art. This route will only run during pre-game festivities and will not be available after the game.
