Entry Period: The Jayhawk Autographs Prize Drawing (the “Drawing”) begins on December 13, 2023 at 12:00:01 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) and ends on December 31, 2023 at 11:59:59 p.m. CT (the “Entry Period”), during which time all entries must be received in order to be eligible.

Eligibility: Drawing participants must be at least 18 years old and living in the United States. KU Alumni Association employees, members of its National Board of Directors, and their immediate families are not eligible to win. Immediate family includes parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandparents and each of their respective spouses or households (whether related or not) of any of the preceding. By participating in the Drawing, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the KU Alumni Association, which are final.

How to Enter: There are 2 ways to enter:

(1) By liking the social post about the contest on Facebook, Instagram, or X (formerly Twitter) and following the KU Alumni Association’s account (@kualumni) and Jayhawk Autographs account (@jayhawkautographs on Instagram and Facebook, and @JayhawkAutogrph on X).

(2) You may also be entered in the Drawing by legibly printing your first and last name, complete mailing address, phone number, email address, and the words “Jayhawk Autographs Prize Drawing ” on a 3”x5” or 4”x 6” card and mailing it to: KU Alumni Association, ATTN: Prize Drawing, 1266 Oread Avenue, Lawrence, KS 66045. No facsimile, email or copied entries will be accepted.  

All entries become the property of KU Alumni Association and will not be acknowledged or returned. No facsimile or copied entries will be accepted. Enter as often as you like. Each entry request must be separately mailed. KU Alumni Association is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail entries. Entries received after expiration of the Entry Period will be deemed invalid.

No purchase or payment is required to enter the Drawing, nor does a purchase or payment increase your chance of winning a prize.

Prize will be awarded as follows:  Each entry is a chance to win the Prize as follows:

One autographed football signed by Head Coach Lance Leipold and 24 student-athletes. Prize has an approximate retail value of $200.

KU Alumni Association reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event an offered prize is unavailable. No substitution or transfer of prize is permitted except as provided herein. KU Alumni Association is not liable for any damage to any prize occurring during delivery to the winner’s address. There will be no cash alternatives.

Selection of Winners: You have not yet won. Winners will be determined by a random selection from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. Selection will take place on or shortly after January 2, at the KU Alumni Association’s office, 1266 Oread Ave., Lawrence, KS 66045. Winner selection will be conducted by the KU Alumni Association. By participating, you agree to be bound by the selection of the winner by the KU Alumni Association, which shall be final and binding in all respects. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Winner need not be present to win. After the drawing, winner will be notified based on the name and information on the entry.  Winner notification will be made by telephone, email, U.S. Mail, overnight courier, and/or in person at KU Alumni Association’s discretion.

To redeem the prize, winner must be located and claim their prizes within seven (7) days of notification or all claims to prizes are forfeited and alternate winner will be selected. When claiming a prize, a photo ID and signed Affidavit of Eligibility may be required at the discretion of the KU Alumni Association.

The winner of the Drawing is responsible for the reporting, filing and payment of all applicable federal, state, and local taxes on receipt of the prize. The costs for goods or services not specified in these official rules are each winner’s responsibility. The KU Alumni Association will either mail, email, or personally provide instructions on how to claim the prize.

In the event the winner is unable to use the prize, the KU Alumni Association is not obligated to provide an alternative prize. 

The winner agrees that the KU Alumni Association may use his/her name address, photograph or videotape likeness and statements for publicity purposes and agrees to sign a publicity release without  any further compensation as a condition of entering the contest.

KU Alumni Association’s decisions are final: The KU Alumni Association reserves the right to disqualify illegible, incomplete, misdirected, late, or falsified entries and is not responsible for such entries, whether or not such circumstances were caused in any way by KU Alumni Association.  KU Alumni Association is not responsible for the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, mail, or Internet service, or unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Drawing.

By entering this Drawing, you acknowledge that the KU Alumni Association and its respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, do not make, nor are in any manner responsible for, any warranty or representations, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the quality, conditions, fitness, or merchantability of any aspect of any prize.

The KU Alumni Association reserves the right to disqualify any entry determined to be in violation of the letter and spirit of the official rules. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and is void where prohibited, taxed to the KU Alumni Association, or otherwise restricted.

Winner List: The winner’s name will be available following the verification of the winner and the awarding of the prize. You may also request a copy of the Official Rules or the winner’s name by sending a self-addressed, #10 business-size envelope to: KU Alumni Association, ATTN: Prize Drawing, 1266 Oread Avenue, Lawrence, KS 66045. Indicate “Rules” and/or “Winner’s List,” as appropriate, on the front of your outer mailing envelope, in the lower left-hand corner. All other Drawing inquiries may also be directed to this address.

Use of data: KU Alumni Association will collect personal data about you in accordance with its privacy policy. Please review KU Alumni Association’s privacy policy at kualumni.org.  By participating in the Drawing you hereby agree to KU Alumni Association’s collection and usage and release of your personal information as described in its privacy policy and as authorized in these rules.

Sponsor: The KU Alumni Association is the official sponsor of this contest. Jayhawk Autographs is not a participant in the Drawing and does not otherwise endorse, support, or sponsor the Drawing.

All proceeds benefit the KU Alumni Association, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

These official contest rules may not be waived, modified, or supplemented except by the KU Alumni Association. No modifications on these official contest rules shall be enforceable unless made by the KU Alumni Association in writing.
